Saint Thomas was a disciple of Jesus Christ.  After Jesus Christ rose from the dead and came to the other disciples, Saint Thomas was not there.  He did not believe the others when they said they had seen Jesus Christ.   He said that he wanted to see Jesus for himself before he would believe the Good News.  So Jesus Christ appeared to him and showed Saint Thomas His Hands and His side, which had holes in them.   Thomas believed and said “My Lord and My God” and spent the rest of his life telling people the Good News of Jesus Christ in faraway parts of the world.
